The future of Salsa in Hyderabad

A common trend in the city of the Nawabs is to indulge in new trends for a short period of time, before moving on to the next big thing. Dance, as an art form is finally attracting due attention and more locals are now tuning into the idea of social dancing as a fun activity. Unlike coffee shops and bars, or other passing trends - Salsa, I feel, is just going to get bigger and better in Hyderabad.

There's talk (pure conjecture at the moment) about a Latin American Dance School opening up in Hyderabad, whispers of a Carnivale, dance studios dotting the city's expanding suburbs and at least one club offering pure Salsa music for Salseros and Salseras in Hyderabad.

I'm really excited about the next workshop, starting on the 10th of June. Sunday morning presented a chance meeting with an endearing couple from Venezuela. They were surprised to hear about a Salsa community in Hyderabad. I might actually convince them to teach us some of their authentic, native Salsa moves! That might happen at the end of the next workshop. Keep you guys posted.
